Corporate Social Responsibility: opportunities for Barendrecht

On Thursday 11 May, the Duurzaamheidskring Barendrecht (Barendrecht Sustainability Group), Lokaal Fonds voor Barendrecht (Local Fund for Barendrecht) and Stichting Present Barendrecht (Present Barendrecht Foundation) jointly organised a symposium on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The target audience of this symposium was entrepreneurs and business professionals in Barendrecht who are convinced of the importance of socially responsible business practices and wonder how CSR can help them achieve their business goals. Daphne Holtappel, Managing Director of the Conservator Group, contributed as a panel member to encourage local entrepreneurs to devote attention to CSR and charitable causes. It was an inspiring meeting from which a variety of profitable ideas have been gathered that anyone can put to use.
